Abstract
Fungal spores found in indoor air can originate from outdoors or can have an indoor source, often linked to moisture-related problems. Recent factors in Belgium, including energy-related ventilation limitations, the rise of airtight buildings and environmental factors such as increased rainfalls, have exacerbated the prevalence of indoor fungal contamination. These indoor mold contaminations can have adverse health effects, including allergic, toxic, and infectious reactions.
